CBD and Its Natural Connection to Our Cellular System

The power of cannabis products and their increasing use to ease physical discomfort is building momentum. Its accessibility and public acceptance are fueling demand as a novel non-intoxicating solution for common ailments and maladies. However, for some consumers, the idea of using cannabis products may harken back to their tie-dye days, conjuring memories of Grateful Dead concerts and oming in a yurt.

But there’s nothing counter-culture about the benefits of cannabinoidiol (CBD). Its efficacy is documented by researchers and chronicled in medical journals. Papers written by physicians and scientists discuss new discoveries in CBD pharmacology and its advances in modulating pain and inflammation.

Over a decade ago scientists made a stunning discovery about CBD’s connection to our cellular system that is changing the landscape of health care. They found that cannabinoid receptors occur naturally throughout the body of vertebrates, a revelation that led to the identification of a naturally occurring lipid-signaling network called the endocannabinoid system.

In other words, humans possess receptors located in many of the body’s cells that communicate with CBD, which can have a positive impact on well-being. Two receptor categories were identified. CB1 receptors are located in the brain, spinal cord, liver, adrenals, ovaries, uterus, prostate, and testes, among other organs. CB2 receptors are found in blood and the lymphatic and immune systems. Both receptors exist in the eyes, stomach, heart, pancreas, digestive tract and in bones.

CBD works perfectly with these receptors along with neurotransmitters. But unlike tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD is a non-intoxicant. Consequently, CBD products can elicit calm without the psychosomatic effects of THC.

Incidentally, all CBD products from Integrated Healthcare Solutions are THC free and naturally derived from hemp extract. However, other CBD products may contain traces of THC including low-quality isolates and many full-spectrum tinctures. Our CBD products have the added benefit of nano-amplified particles for higher absorption and are backed by third-party testing with stringent quality control processes to ensure exceptional purity.

So in this biological match made in heaven, the soothing qualities of CBD communicate directly with the body’s ready-and-waiting receptors. Like air traffic controllers guiding the circling planes from CBD Express, the body’s cells wave red batons of “land here” signals so cannabis compounds can taxi into place.

In this era of opioid addiction and prescription dependency, many people are turning to CBD as a logical alternative. It offers a legal, non-invasive, over the counter, affordable solution that does not trigger a compulsion.

Clearly, these developments are hopeful. The fact that nano CBD demonstrates superior absorption is good news for those seeking a natural path to relief. With its safe biochemical interface, CBD is an effective approach to modern wellcare that holds promise for the future of health maintenance.
